The Purple Door- Opening the portal to greater wonders

purple door.jpg

A Purple Door is a sign of wealth, honor and royalty. It also can bring a sense of calm and peace to your home if it has some blue hues.

I have been long pondering the idea of painting our door purple, and with the coming of the Spring, I am ready to welcome some new energies into our life and our home.

Purple is one of my favorite colors, but I admit that having it as a front door color seems out of the ordinary. And that is exactly what I am calling forth this Spring, out of the ordinary experiences, people, wonders and magic.

Purple Doors are Magical

Shades-of-purple-color.jpg

Doors to me are magical. Doorways, gateways, entrances to places can invite us into new realms, environments, and new experiences. The color purple can signify success, prosperity, nobility and wisdom. It is the color of the crown chakra, and so the color can invoke higher consciousness, and receiving wisdom from the Universe, or in my case, from the Goddess and all of Life herself.

The Feng-Shui meaning

In most cases, a purple door will invite opportunities into our home. It can improve health, increase good friendships and perhaps gain us more recognition, which would mean that more people could be benefiting from my beautiful offerings and creations as well as my beloves incredible works.

What Color Purple Will You Paint Your Door?

I can already feel a change just writing this and thinking about painting my door purple. It is a sign of creativity and open-mindedness as well. And, it is also said to be a sign that a practitioner of magic who knows how to live a truly enchanted life lives there . Now, comes the job of choosing the right shade, which my partner has suggested we take a photo of our front door entrance and the color of the exterior walls, and in photo shop try out different shades. That sounds like a great idea to me. What are your thoughts about such a door? And if you can not or do not want to go all the way to painting the door, perhaps a lovely wreath with purple will do the trick!

Enchanted Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies w/Walnuts (gluten free)

Brownies to Live For

I have loved Brownies all my life. Can you be a Brownie-a-holic?

Warning- If you are a batter eater, every stage of these brownies is delish, so save some to be baked. These are SO good I try to make them when I know there is a party or gathering where others will enjoy them, so I do not eat the whole batch myself! (which I have done).

This is my favorite brownie recipe out of many I have tried. Though I would not put it in the health food category, it does have a lot of healthy ingredients and I cut the pieces small, like big brownie bites, and have a bite here and there.

Dark chocolate lifts my spirits, and we all know about the good chemicals it promotes in the brain. I also like the fact that these are gluten free, using either a baking mix or Almond flour. Please enjoy the recipe, and do sign up to be added to my mailing list for more delicious enchanted recipes, wonderful free gifts and special offers!

Recipe for the most Enchanted Delightful Brownies of all Time

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup unsalted pastured butter melted and HOT

  • I tablespoon coconut oil ( or olive oil)

  • 1 1/8 superfine brown coconut sugar ( put the sugar in a bullet and pulverize to a powder)

  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla

  • 1/2 cup Pamela’s baking mix or Almond Flour (NOT almond meal)

  • 3/4 cup unsweetened raw cacao powder ( or cocoa powder)

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1 cup chopped walnuts( optional if you can not have nuts)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 350 F ( 175C)

  • Lightly grease baking pan of your choice use an 8x8 for thicker brownies and a 7x11 for thinner. I like the thinner ones

  • Combine hot melted butter, oil and sugar together in medium sized bowl. Beat well until creamy, add eggs and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy (refrain from eating all of this yummy goodness)

  • Mix in flour, cocoa powder and salt just until combined, do not overbeat

  • Add walnuts

  • Pour into greased pan

  • Bake for 15-25 minutes. I bake mine in the larger pan for about 16 minutes, keep an eye on them and use the toothpick test if you choose. Do not overbake.

  • Remove and allow to cool, then place in fridge or freezer to get cold. They will slice better. When cold and solid, slice into brownie bites. Keep in fridge or freezer. The lack of gluten makes them very crumbly when not cold.

Enjoy these as an alternative to a square of dark chocolate, or serve with tea. I suggest not eating them late in the day unless you want extra energy!
